An interesting action with thumb catch on the frame that allows the barrel and cylinder to tilt sideways to allow loading. the frame is engraved with scrolls and retains traces of silver plating, as dose the back strap, walnut grips. A Belgium 6 shot 11mm Pin Fire revolver with a 6 1/4" octagonal barrel, etched with panels of scrollwork and with the makers name, the left hand side stamped ' E Lefaucheux Invr Brevete' Liege proved, the frame and cylinder etched overall with foliate scrolls, butt with lanyard ring and chequered walnut grips.
